I am currently in the final year of my PhD, which I began in 2014, in the Algorithms + Data Analysis research group in the Department of Informatics at King's College London. I have submitted my thesis + am yet to have my viva.

My research falls within the intersection of computer science and biology, specifically: algorithms for computational molecular biology.

Under the supervision of Prof. Costas S. Iliopoulos and Dr. Solon P. Pissis, I work on designing string algorithms for solving problems in biological sequence analysis. This includes problems in genome assembly, pattern matching + sequence alignment.

If you don't know much about this specific area of research, for an overview, have a look at this presentation I delivered to MSc Computer Science students at King's College London for their Advanced Research Methods module.

If you are interested in learning about this area of research in more detail, check out my blog!

If you know the field quite well, have a look at my publications + get in touch if you would like to collaborate.
